I was listening to the extended version of Pinball Cha Cha recently. I can't quite make out one of the last few words of the song. The gist of the lyric is that he's missed the "f*%@#ing paddle, but won another play all the same". But swearing is definitely NOT something I'd associate with Yello. Does anyone else know of any swear words used in Yello's songs? BTW - I can't log into the FTP server either since yesterday. R. "Now all lights are lit"
Hi Rory I've heard swearing in some Yello songs and remember that I was a bit surprised. I can remember that Dieter swears in I.T. Splash: "No fuckin' sins" or something like that. Going to listen through some songs now to see if I can find some ;)... Cheers Chris "The sun is a hell of a light"
I can remember some swears in Assistant's Cry / SOLID PLEASURE too... Bit surprised too ! Well Rory, Dieter, who does neary if not all the interviews, seems to have no problem with using words that are forbidden in the US Media (funny that most of todays used expressions originate from that part of the planet. :-) . F.ing something while explaining his meaning is something he does without a problem. But that's something where one can see the difference between the two phenomena, Yello and Dieter Meier. However ... On Solid Pleasure / Assitant's Cry he appears to say: they are all f.ing crazy. But... Pinball Cha Cha... Don't you mis interper.: A Knack Inside , I got another game I press the button and it's not the same ... ? Most artists/musicians pretty freely speak their minds, including the use of profanity. Just look at Ozzy! Paul Ohio, USA
