Hello everyone! Oh Yeah is undoubtfully Yello's most popular song (together with The Race). But which song is their best? Any of you have any suggestions? The song that I have heard most times would be Tied Up, Who's Gone and the live version of Resistor, but I find it very hard to tell which of their songs that is best. Thanks again for the ratings! TheWarlock Hello! Can you tell me more about the live version of Resistor, I the only live I know is Live at the Roxy? I'm a fan of Yello since 1981. I'll write you back my album rates and my best song later! Ciao! from Québec City in Canada! OK, Warlock. I guess this is the most difficult question you could possibly ask. Because They've done so many different styles of music (even on the same album), it's nearly impossible to select just one perfect song, so I'm going to have to follow Shaun and give you a Top 10 - in chronological order. Blue Green Take It All (why couldn't this be longer?) Lost Again Desire Ciel Ouvert Call It Love Si Senor The Hairy Grill (spiritual brother to Resistor) L'Hotel Pan Blue Resistor ------------------------------ Reality is a matter of opinion
It's impossible to choose just one YELLO song but.... I think mine would be "Haunted House". I feel that it just wraps everything that YELLO is into one song. The other favorites would be... Call It Love, Night Train, Blender, Desert Inn, Pumping Velvet, Otto di Catania, On the Run, SAX, I I I'm in love, it's too hard :) Julian
I own all 5 Yello Video CD's (Tied Up, Oh Yeah, Of Course I´m Lying, Goldrush, The Race) but I never had the chance to get them running on my DVD-Player (PAL) Yes they all show the music-tracks, but not the Video Track. Also the DVD in my PC does not get the Videos. Are these VideoCD's a sort of hybridCD (Audio/Video) that can only playback on the old Philips VideoCD Players ???
Hi Where did you get those VCDs? It depends on your DVD if it can play VCD, what DVD (brand, model) do you have? /Jonas Sweden ----- Original Message ----- From: "Georg Plank" <georg.plank@aon.at> To: <yello@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 12:08 PM Subject: [Yello] Yello VideoCD's

CD-Video (not to be confused with Video-CD, which is a totally different system) is a 12 cm CD which contains 20 minutes of CD-Audio and up to 6 minutes of LaserDisc-format analogue video. The video can only be played on LaserDisc players, the audio can be played on any CD-player. Hi Jeroen! This must be the reason, because I tested the disk on nearly 20 different DVD-player and DVD-drives. I just wanted to get hold on the Video data to make a VideoCD compilation, but it seems to have also a non book-standard compressor... Jeroen Broekhuizen schrieb:

Hi folks, I'm not sure I can rate Yello albums. To rate anything, you must compare it to other stuff. Since every Yello album doesn't remain each other, I don't think it's possible to compare them -- how can one compare totally different things?! My top 10 songs are: 1. Beyond Mirrors 2. Blazing saddles 3. Sweet Thunder 4. Resistor 5. Cyclops 6. Ballet Mecanique 7. Pinball Cha Cha 8. Blue Nabou 9. On the Run 10. Live at the Roxy Well, there are MUCH more than only 10 favourite songs of mine. I could mention at least 20 other favorities. I prefer not to compare Yello songs to each other as well. Cheers, Adelka Judge. "So you've eaten your mother?" Little Dragon. "Yes I have" Judge. "And you've eaten your father as well?" Little Dragon. "Yes I have" Judge (indignantly). "So tell me, WHO YOU ARE after that??!!" Little Dragon (crying). "An orphan!"
