I just found that Gmail now offers a chat interface, which can help for better communications between users especially those with different platforms, or servers such as if tou have an AIM account, and one of your friends has an MSN account. Now it doesn't matter!! and it is free!!!!!! http://www.google.com/talk/index.html Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy (thegripguy@rogers.com) All your gymnastics grip needs right here! *hallowed are the soundsamples* well.... there never was a problem since the appearance of those multiprotocol clients. (ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, Jabber(googletalk is jabber), and more, depending For Mac Users --> www.adiumx.com/ Windows --> www.miranda-im.org/ Linux --> http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ With those clients, you have ONE application for many messenger networks. At least myself loves to have just one program rather than cluttering the screen with windows. Gratned not always you get the 100'% feature set, but I basically need to send text - which certainly works nice. I am very often online on ICQ #6480118 - but you'd have to tell me who you are (i get tons of support stuff from an online game I help) greetz from switzerland Mike On Sep 3, 2005, at 6:02 PM, Woodland Spirit wrote:

Yeah, I have no friends either *rofl*
Why does MSN file transfer not work with Mac users? ¶ The official Mac MSN client uses a protocol which is not compatible with libgaim's for file transfer. As a result, Adium is unable to transfer files to users using the official Mac MSN client. Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy (thegripguy@rogers.com) All your gymnastics grip needs right here! Boy, do I get the same feeling!!. I certainly 'ain't no techno-geek compu-whuzz (whiz), but little by little, more and more settles in and becomes second nature. My OS makes this task simple, as it is very intuative. How I think things should work usually is. thank goodnes for that. Now, we only have to wait for the google talk to run through it's BETA period, and let the code writers iron out the bugs and shortfalls, and we will soon have a universal cross platform file transfer network that will be as simple to use as the internet is now.
