I was glad to see someone else has ended up with a Russian bootleg - but been happy with it. When I ordered mine, the company said they ship from Tennessee...! I had no idea until I received it. but, it's okay... I can't discern any problems with the sound. I just can't read the cover!
Hey! The point is, not every Russian CD is a bootleg. Some of them are licensed special editions. They're about 5 or 6 times as cheep as the European editions. The difference is, their booklets have poor simplified design (and the paper is worse), but the sound quality is the same. Since these are special Russian editions, booklets contain notes in Russian, which is pretty logical, I guess :-) Not so many Russians can handle buying expensive legal copies, so record companies release these special Russian editions. I know about two "official" Russian releases -- Eccentrix and Motion Picture. I guess there is such edition of The Eye too. "Poor Russian shit as always they are", hmm... How "polite"! As for the bootlegs... Well, there are plenty compilation bootlegs, including MP3 CDs (hey brother, remember Gorbushka? ;-)). But I have never seen The Eye on such bootleg CD. To be honest, I don't care about bootlegs. I usually try to get Yello albums on legal CDs and only buy any other music on tapes, so never pay any attention to such bootlegs. I'm still subscribed to the mailing list, of course, but usually don't say anything. I guess I have changed since 5 or so years ago when I NEEDED to share my thoughts and emotions about the Yello music with someone. Now their music is enough to me (but I always read every post to the mailing list, of course). Cheers, Adelka ------------------------------------ New super action from The Coca Cola Company! Thank you very much for that info. And also thank you to the person who sent me the link to the website of the Russian alphabet. I haven't learned it yet, but am always glad to have access to new info. -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+tourguide=austexecotours.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Adelka Sundaymaniac Sent: Friday, December 12, 2003 9:56 AM To: yello@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Yello] Re: (Yello) The Eye Covers
