Julz, It's the Hokey Pokey! Its a party song that we all grew up with here in the states. Big at weddings and roller rinks. It goes something like this: "Put your left hand in" "Take your left hand out" "Put your left hand in ...and you shake it all about" "You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around ....That's what it's all about"! So Kraftwerk doing the Hokey Pokey is pretty funny.
Jon, I did not know it was big in the States too, thought it was just some old British trite. I grew up with it too....and that is why I found it so funny.....it is probably one of the crappest party jingles in existence. sadly, Julz is not familiar with it....but, thanks for taking the time to write some of the words down for him. Here in Britain is it known as the "hokey Cokey" and not "hokey Pokey". ciao...Amanda Jon Kamm <kammagic@comcast.net> wrote: Julz, It's the Hokey Pokey! Actually I know "Hokey Pokey" well. Maybe if it was spelled the us way I would have recognized it. Some of us are just slow i guess :) Julz On Mar 26, 2006, at 2:33 AM, A WRIGHT wrote:

trying to look around to see if the UK version is different then the US one. It seems like it is. UK had lyrics of "in out, in out" which is not in the US version. Can anyone post a UK "Hokey Cokey"? I'll try and find a US one. Julz On Mar 26, 2006, at 5:03 AM, Woodland Spirit wrote:
I always thought it was 'Hokey Cokey'... maybe a regional thing.
