Ik keep wondering how it was possible that TomCraft got a way with such a remix. Perhaps it's my own perception of rhythm and arrangement, but the lyrics segments are off in timing... The video however features some intersting things I have in my own Race Remix Video. I wonder when I ever get to finishing that one. Yes I've noticed everything TomCraft does is off kilter, out of step, he did a remix of the petshopboys new album track and that was the same, very gritty and out of step . I do like the single they had though, Happiness and Lonliness or whatever it was Daniel ----- Original Message -----

The video is actually very good! Still not overlly impressed with the remix, bits of it just seem out of sync, saying that though, it's better than most remix attempts! IMO, the Remix of The Race posted here by Daniel B a few weeks ago is of far better quality than the Tomcraft one. And Dan did it for free becuase he loves Yello. Tomcraft got paid and sounds like he just slapped it together. Deiter and Boris can do much better. Dan I say release your mix on white label vinyl and see where it gets you! Random Tox
woah! I didn't like the original remix, till I saw the video w/ my car in it! Hey, I want that "Y" hood ornament!!!! and the pit crew jacket! where can I get them??? I MUST have them! OH...and did you notice the 1 800 #? it said 1800 Yello Faster...so I dialed it and it's an actual company, but unfortunately I couldn't figure it out because I think it was French. Please somebody - y'all are so international and all, call it up and help us english-only folks out? Please? p.s. I particularly dig those added cartoonish smokes and arrows and stuff. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ether" <etherreal@cogeco.ca> To: "The moon: beautiful. I also have to agree about TomCraft's remixing abilities. This isn't the first one he's done to a Yello tune and I'm NOT impressed with any of them. Having the voice get out of sync with the music is a big no-no, but he persists on doing this. Why? Where the hell did he learn to remix? Does he start the sample and forget that it's playing as he mixes other samples?
