Thanks for all the positve comments on my mix!! This keeps the juices flowing... As I said before I'm thrilled by the new software I have. This has made it so easy to give a sound that bit extra by just adding a plugin and wiggle the knobs until the ear say: Yeah cool!! And at the touch of a button I can switch between projects. So while working on my own tracks, a new idea for the Dada mix surfaces and -klik- I can try and embed it. So no need any longer to keep it in the fridge as I've put it earlier. It's like heaven on a 19" screen. About the Dada samples... I ripped them of all the Dada tracks I have now. So the slicing and dicing was already done. Except for some samples that have been eddited by me to make them cleaner or different. But I'd say 80% comes straight of the Dada maxi cd. They even have the same stereo position. I really, really, really hope more of you will be inspired to come up with something. The contest at start-ab is the coolest thing ever for us fans who also (try) to make music, but perhaps we can beat them to it, while keeping it an event instead of a contest. I'm a big Yello fan (oh really) but I'm also a great fan of And One from Germany. And it's their style that hits a spot I can get closer to then Boris' creations. So it's no surprise that the Dada remix I'm working on has a certain And One flair. I sample anything I hear, but I refuse to use loops from others. It's just so much more fun to create your own drumtracks for example, even when this means they are much simpler than Boris' stuff or Naghavi's pool of sounds. Rene
