RE: Yello Digest, Vol 10, Issue 6
I'm new here. Which albums would I chose? I remember being in an audiophile stereo store and being entranced by One Second. I have never to this day grown bored with it. A tropical dream scape. The other album would be Motion Picture. It gives Thevery Corporation a run for it's money!! All of Yello's albums are a must for anyone who is an audiophile and not a mainstreamer. Can anyone answer some questions for me? Has there been a release of any Yello on SACD or DVD Audio formats? Any vinyl of the recent three albums? Any 1/2 speed, Japanese, or virgin vinyl of any of the older albums? On a tangent, I think that the inside gatefold of the record New Mix In One Go of the boy's in Cuba is so swank: No doubt Boris is smoking a Cohiba cigar. . . bastard. Your imput is appreciated. I'm tempted to not trust anything from that web site from looking at those 2 links. There have been others posted as well if I remember correct that were also a bit fishy.

I think my Eccentrix Remixes is - I couldn't find it for less than 37$, then I found one for $12 and got it. Well, when I finally received it, the credits are in Russion (I think) and I can't read it! But it sounds okay tho...
Has there been a release of any Yello on SACD or DVD Audio formats?
I wish! Unfortunately not though. That would be incredible. I don't have a player but heard it at a friends. The most incredible sound I ever heard. It's like the warmth of vinyl combined with the clarity of CD's.
Any vinyl of the recent three albums?
Last album to be released on vinyl is Pocket Universe. Although it is very rare.
Any 1/2 speed, Japanese, or virgin vinyl of any of the older albums?
Don't know what that is but I don't think so Julian
