To say the least. However, I am curious about this bit: " As an article [http://www.totalobscurity.com/yello/interv/face3-83.html] described: One unfinished piece is a commemoration in advance: a metal plaque set in the pavement outside Kassel railway station inscribed 'On March 23, 1994 between 3 and 4 in the afternoon, Dieter Meier will be standing on this plaque.' And he did it. One member of the Yello mailing list [http://www.xmission.com/pub/lists/yello/] (specific posting not available online) actually drove from England to Switzerland to put Meier's intentions to the test. Apparently there was a small crowd, and Meier was in full blasé good form. " Who was that? Someone here, and still? And, I love it. Brilliant art, that. I just love it. --gcr acerbic postscript: I know that there is a certain level of agitation to which many of you have become accustomed to seeing come from this electromail account, and any failing of mine to rise to such a level in any given message may produce in your hearts a certain desparing belief that my account may have been hacked, or worse, that I am being impersonated by some dastard with nefarious intent. Your discomfort is, of course, of great concern to me - even that discomfort which may exist only as a potential - so, in order to placate and calm such as are or may be so suffering, please allow me to offer you the following salve: It remains my firm opinion that Jon Kamm is an ass. Instead of placing me in contact with DJ Hani, as requested, so that I may trade funds for a copy of his excellent remix, he instead passed along what? You guessed it! The track in question all Mac'd up. He couldn't be satisfied with passing along the original AIFF, or even a FLAC, but had to wash it through his iReligion and produce yet another piece of scheisse m4a. No question can remain as to the very narrowness of his mind, nor the seeming high regard in which he holds himself as the "gatekeeper to all goodness". I am not the only one who has had difficulty with his proprietary and badly rendered materials, yet he blithely continues forward with his evangelical campaign. Bleat now.
May I apologise for the use of Safari and GOOGLE, but in a matter of seconds using both (and ues, a mac) I found this web-page and what is this? a link to contact the DJ Hani himself!! ALWAYS GO TH THE SOURCE LUKE!! http://www.djpages.com/djasp/index.htm?index.asp?djid=7062~right Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy (thegripguy@rogers.com) All your gymnastics grip needs right here! There is no way for me to know that: )a) That is the "same" DJ Hani; )b) That the mailing address linked thereto is current or valid; ... since no other information is present, including list of mixes [vacant] against which I might check to see if this is the same dude. And so, what is this? The exact same totally useless page that I also found. --gcr
