RE: [Yello] Melody Maker Magazine
That brings back a few memories. Looks like the same photo from the album cover. Really, it makes the magazine so much better, don't you think ;-) When I was living in Toronto in the early 80s I used to go to the clubs and in those days a band called Songship was making the rounds. The lead singer was none-other than Mary Margaret O'Hara (whose name appears on the Jon's cover scan). Her style of performance was a little strange as I recall. Sweet voice, but she danced in a strange way. But it left an impression, that's for sure. A pal of mine used to write for that magazine, briefly in the 80's. /RF -----Original Message----- From: yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces+rfiler=sierrawireless.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Jon Kamm Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 10:11 PM To: yello@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Yello] Melody Maker Magazine Here is something I won on eBay recently. November 26, 1988 Melody Maker Magazine. Great pic of Dieter on the cover. Actually its more of a newspaper 17" x 13". The scan is actual size so you can get an idea of how big this sucker is. There is a 2 page picture and article inside as well. I will be scanning that soon. http://homepage.mac.com/jonathankamm/MelodyMakerMag.jpg Enjoy! ,Jonathan _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello Report list abuse to list-abuse at studio-nibble.com
