I wasn't a mac fan until my father bought a PC. The hours I spend on fixing it... irrational crashes and strange anomalies just drove me mad. Even today when I touch a PC weird things start to happen. Now days he has a Mac and doesn't need my support for anything. First Apple was a IIgs (with Woz signature), then a Mac IIvx with Audiomeda II card and SampleCell. These days working as a New Media Designer on a 400 G4 Tower and TiBook. I'm ready for a new Desktop can't wait to get the new fast & shiny G5 revision B. Playing with the new Panther these days... it is super fast! I highly recommend the new iSight with iChat AV. The video chat is fantastic! Any people out there with an iSight would like to chat? Sorry to post off topic stuff here. Us Mac users are so passionate about our machines. Why? Many reasons come to mind with the word elegant but mainly cause they just work... Julz On Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 09:37 AM, Rene wrote:
Cool to discover how international our community is. And the amount of Mac users.
I earn a living with macs by my side. 2 x Power Mac Dual G4 1 Ghz with 1.25 gigabyte of mem, connected to Barco monitors. And there's a collection of power books, bondi blue's and a lonely i Mac, with a dusty collection of 7100, 8100, 9600 DP, Centris and so on...
At home I lack the funding and budget of a large company and so I'm left with a pc, but have my litle bronze keyboard powerbook close at hand.
Ah sweet Mac, you're the Chevy in Computerland.
