Jack, you should try contacting the music publishers in the first case as they will administrate all that. Universal.

Assuming you get a response from them of course. If your podcasting is covered by a blanket license (.i.e. a radio station type arrangement) you'll be covered already. I don't believe they do the logged returns like they used to do, only the very large national stations do that.

Failing all that if your podcast is creative commons and you're not making profit, and your not merely posting a verbatim copy of the album, post it anyway, credit it, and if there is a problem you'll be informed and the worst you can do is remove it / take it down. There is so much blatant abuse of the system, both from Sony / Soundcloud etc. that its not worth stifling your creativity for.
