Hi Brian, I've roamed around in the house scene as aid for sounds on productions, small radio stations and as a photographer on House Parties. I'm not into house music personally. It lacks the drive I do find in Yello, FLA etc. But I've got in contact with many of the Underground Dutch house DJ's, and all of them know Yello or are Yello Fans to some extend. For obvious reasons. Many of them pick Zebra as the Yello House album, if it didn't feature the horns and voice of Dieter. I never heard a clear reason for choosing Zebra as the more house like Yello album, but my guess is that it features the typical synthbass-loops and riddles, that pump up the mood if looped endless (like in house). Zebra would be the first choice for me. It's clean and very electronic (appart from the horns). Then Pocket Universe would blend in with attention to the speedy tracks. For real dyhard electronic house fans, who appreaciate music, Solid Pleasure would be the third one to introduce. THe experimental motion in this album should get their attention.
