I think you meant a car that only steers to the left. If the car also steers to the right there is nothing wrong with the steering. :)
But it does look like you are starting to understand what a remix contest is all about. It is like each contestant is building their own car. Beatport supplies some of the parts. Each car design will be different. So each designer will have to modify the parts accordingly.
The Soul On Ice remix contest produced slow songs, fast songs, different rhythms, different tempos, different genres. There were Country versions, Rap versions, Ambient versions, Rock versions, Dance versions. You name it. Each version needed to be modified in it's own unique way.
