I'm in Canada - West Coast - Vancouver. I first heard Yello in 1983. A friend
owned You've Gotta Say Yes to Another Excess. I inhaled that album and
went on exhaling it for years. And then I heard Bananas to the Beat.
Not a day has gone by in the last 15 years that I haven't thought of the knuckle
beat that starts off that song. I'm also prone to eccentricity, for example:

I've been wondering how much of a role Chocolate has played in Dieter's and
Boris's creativity over the years.... Hmmm.

I've collected everything I've been able to find of Yello, mostly on 12" vinyl, stopping
about 7 years ago when Zebra came out. Nothing I've got, though, seems to be
extraordinary enough to post on the server :-(

Nobody I ever ask knows who Yello is until I mention Oh Yeah, The Secret of My
Success, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Then they say... wait for it... "Oh, Yeah... I know
them". And only one other friend of mine is a Yello fan. So it's nice to be on a list
where everyone knows the same thing and doesn't mind talking about the finer
points.
