Hi Jon,
I took a look at the video clip preview of several movies
that runs to the tune of The Race and noticed not a single problem. I've got QT7
on my machine too. Coincidentally, I went out and rented one of the movies from
that clip and saw a slightly different collection of movies being advertised,
but also to The Race.
Haven't seen any problems on your postings so far.

Speaking of things
that "just work", you may wish to review your new fancy software. Two out of
three of your "Dutch" snips have heavy encoding errors at the beginnings of each
of them; namely major video chunking in the form of gigantic squares and, during
the "hookers" sequence, when they pull off the interstate, your colour gamut
freaks out - top right of the screen areas of snow turn a bright
pink.
Same with your
Elektra-Preview. Major chunking at the beginning.
Unfortunately, the
tool I have been using for years is not available for your platform. But I am
certain that there are many choices out there. A search of sourceforge.net might
yield lovelies for you. Whether it's your chosen video codec: [ffh264]
vfm:ffmpeg (FFmpeg H.264), or your fancy new proggie that is buggy, I cannot
ever say for sure. But something is definitely amiss.

OK,
Is anyone else
experiencing these problems? My friends that have Quicktime 7 on Mac or PC have
not mentioned any problems. Please let me know so I can get it correct. I am
still learning this stuff.
