Widespread applause turns into a spontaneous party, which builds until it's a massive party thronging several city blocks - at which point it turns into a "We Want Yello" parade that provokes a tour that visits every city in Europe, Canada, the U.S. and Argentina; the visit to Argentina stops and actually reverses its economic decline and begins the second space race and leads to the permanent colonization of the moon, Mars, Mercury, the Asteroid belt, the Jovian moons, the Saturnian (or is it Saturnine?) moons and several planets in several other solar systems, by all nations on Earth. There are no wars until -after- someone figures out how to travel faster than the speed of light, which results in one unified planetary and galactic government.*
