Definitively : how can you get a promo CD of YEllo in the normal (!) way ?! -----Message d'origine----- De : yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:yello-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] De la part de Brian Willoughby Envoyé : vendredi 17 octobre 2003 19:04 À : The moon: beautiful. However, for a group like Yello, who will go platinum for sure (right?), and the backing of a good record label, the promo CD will be pressed just like an official release, only in smaller quantities. I can easily see Yello management spending US$2500 on 1000 promo CDs. That's pocket change! I have promo CDs from bands on the WARP Records label, and not only is the promo CD pressed (not burned), but it has artwork on the CD which is specific to the promo (kind of a joke about not being for sale), and even the jewel case has promo-specific art. I've compared the promo and official releases, and a lot of work went into the promo! Brian Begin forwarded message: For my part I think it's expensive enough ... The promo cd is maybe only available in cd-r ! Can't imagine a promo cd pressed in other way ... or ? Not very expensive, you are sure this is not a illegal copy (like the CD-R which is also listed there). Can never be sure about these things you know ;-) Thanks Chris _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello
