I'm not a musician,
but many on this list are. Yahoo has posted one of their picks (a website which
they think is worthy of a special mention) - a website called "The Alan Lomax
Database".
Apparently on this
site you can obtain samples of music created by Ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax,
free for your own use. It sounds a little like that sampler of Yello sounds from
the Mountedbythegods material. So I thought it was worth a mention here, in case
anyone wanted some free material to work into their compositions.
I didn't check out
the database myself, but the description sounded pretty good. I just checked
this 5 minutes ago and it was still accessible. Apologies if you can't actually
navigate to it, but there's always google.
