Thank
you Woodland Spirit. Funny you should mention waping ring tones, another
generous person on the list sent me a couple and I put them:
I
haven't tested waping these two yet but have wapped another one and it worked
fine. In fact, now when my phone rings I don't want to answer it because
it sounds so cool I want to listen!
Question: should be past tense of wap be waped or wapped? of
course, should wap even be used as a verb?
Hello Tasha
Go to :-
Which gives you a freebie called 'WavePad', just done a quick test and it
does what you need of it, a combination of trimming down to the snippet that
you want (and so many snippets to choose from) and then when saving the MP3
file (warning, wavpad has an install on demand which will install the encoder
from the web when first used), a combination of encoding to 32bps and mixing
down to mono (don't need stereo after all) and that should produce a nice
small quality MP3 file usable for a ringtone.
As a side note, I've been trying experiments to get a nice looping sample
from the race but every time I save the MP3 file a little gap is added to the
start and end of the file for some reason which completely ruins it :o(
Hope that helps ya, I might start doing a small collection for everyone
to wap to there phones if there is interest from people here?
Thanks,
Sean

My phone charges by Kb - so I want to be careful. I have just the
standard Windows applications. Am I sol? if so, what application
do I need?
