The Race, Apparently, The Race started out as a Boris composition for one of his friend's Magic acts that went to competition in Las Vegas (Nevada--why does everyone always add that part?) Age Survey!
I'm 31 and unlike many, my first Yello song was The Race. I don't remember where I heard it exactly, but it was right after it came out, and I was captivated by the sheer emotion of it, and the length (13:22) I went out and got the Cassette single and to my delight it contained the Dance Mix of Oh Yeah, which upon hearing I associated with Ferris Bueller, my favourite movie at the time, and I wasn't aware previously who had done the track. Then I gambled end picked up The New Mix In One Go, and liked everything on there, and so on and so on, eventually I had the entire collection of albums and a fan was born!
