Subject: Re: [Yello] Unreal
Tasha,
Yello has made a certain change in style from
album
to album. Not one of them seems to be a copy
of
the previous one. But still it remained
yello...
However with the latest addition of the female
voice,
there is a drop in the Yello History. Sure it's a
matter
of taste. But in respect to all earlier female
voices
used by Yello, this lady is too raw, too
untrained.
Another rather unlike Yello thing is that the
same voice
is used in a couple of songs, leaving Dieter
to be the more
occassional singer. A pitty.
Dieter is as Yello as Boris. Guest appearances
should be
limited to one track and by that keeping it
enough to end
up with something special...
check the mackenzie vocals or the mystical
Farida, or
Bassey...etc...

Still...
Those of you who have read my review of THe Eye
will hopefully
read inbetween the lines that it is still an
appreciated piece of work.
I just think I'm allowed to a critical opinion
being a Yello fan with
all my soul.
