Well, I get the feeling that there are still some propositions being presented, but they are more of a Brooklyn style. Laurens van Graft The Grip Guy (thegripguy@rogers.com) All your gymnastics grip needs right here! PODCASTING IS CHANGING THE WORLD! On Jan 26, 2006, at 7:12 PM, Tasha wrote:

Thanks for the help. I know you meant well. But using the link below is best. This gives me a record of when everyone entered. That way if there is a tie the person who entered first is the winner. I think thats fair. Don't you?
It would be if, say, the page in question actually contained a mail form, but it doesn't. It just contains a hyperlinked mailto tag. All /that/ does is open a new message with the browser's default emailer, adding subject line ["Guess The Release Date Contest"].
The same result is had by simply including the address in your announcement of the very exciting contest to this list.
The only timestamp you are getting is a result of the natural process of electromail transmission. No such "record of when everyone entered" is being generated or kept by a visit to that amazingly exciting page on your splendidly exciting site.
Your process is to take electromails from excited participants in your very exciting contest [exciting!!!], which you then enter into your iCal.
Again, this is distinct from, say, people going to the page in question, and placing their own entries into same. That's not what's happening.
The only "reason" for people to visit your terribly exciting page is to drive up your hits, thereby implying some legitimacy to your site as a recognized Yello station, which, of course, increases you iStatus as iDeity around these here parts. I know that you think you mean well, but using the link you've provided is just a waste of time - uneccessary extra steps. As usual. As has been your iDiotic habit for, well, forever.
Once again, it appears that your true motive is to divert list traffick out into your own forum. Bigger! Shinier! Excitingier! Kammier!
To close, I point out that you are full of shit and/or a moron. Neither observation is news.
Now, minions, ATTACK ME with your yap-fu!
