Well it was the pop up stopper working its merry way. I have seen the site now-and its really not that bad, but very lacking in content. Its interactivity is great but how many time would you want to revisit. NOT. I agree with all you guys on the design issues vs speed. There has always been issues and will continue to be issues as there are so many variables to consider. Even with the best scripting you can't eliminate size altogether as graphics can only be optimized so much without sacrificing quality. I use broadband as do many of you, and I always design my sites for a dial up connection that way broadband users get what they expect via there broadband link- but the poor old dial up used can stiil get access to the default low speed pages. Especially with Flash and scripting you can achieve incredible results, just look at all you guys that have proved it. Jonathon and Greg particularly come to mind. I know there some more out there. We should all collaborate and blitz these Yello site design losers. I would like to expand on Jonathon's and Greg's ideas by integrating video as well. The mind boggles. Rene-You should be able to spread some light on this-you seem to be a bit of an expert? Hey Julz Mate I'll get you a copy no worries. You're a keen eBay hey mate. Me Too! We both have our eyes on that promo item. Don't worry I'll respect the fact that you want it and you got in first, so I'll wont be pushing the price up on you. You gotta be bloody quick hey. Julz I want to see your site also mate, I have been itching to get mine going for nearly a year. Time seems to be missing. Patrick mate-I actually enjoy shopping for vinyl for others just as much as for me, it's a good excuse to get out more often. Anything anyone wants I'm happy to try and find it. I'm emailing you now anyway. Shaun I'm emailing you also re the 'DEAL' I bought an interesting couple of items not long back. 2 Billy Mackenzie tracks 'BABY'. They are not particularly related to yello but they are awesome tracks. I know there's a lot of Billy fans for his collaboration work with Yello. He's worth it dead old Billy. There was a mention of another FTP server a while back, any news? I am itching to get a shared resource, not necessarily for music, but images etc. There have been a few occasion I have wanted to share items and can't via the newsgroup. Hey Guys-Tell me how you obtain your demos. I was a working DJ for over 15 years and only twice got promos from Yello. I still have heaps of contacts (obviously not that friggen good) and yet I get jack. Jonas-I'm surprised that you don't have more signed and collectable items from Yello-I had the impression you had met them regularly. PaulO
