I think Dieter distort some words in his lyrics in some songs too... In fact... That's weird in French listening to that lyrics in Croissant BLeu... I can't say that this is my favorite Dieter' song but I would like some of your advice about this... GREG -----Message d'origine----- Objet : RE: [Yello] Croissant Bleu Lyrics Maybe, but it looked like maybe Dieter might have deliberately distorted some of his words to make the song sound better. I know in Switzerland and Belgium they say Nonant and Huitant for 90 and 80, where in France they say Quatre-vingt dix, etc. Olde Swisse also has a word "quelheuretli" meaning "watch", (Uhr, montre, relogio), because they used to see Napolean's troops looking at their watches in response to the question "Quel Heure est il?". I'm not on topic, but maybe these linguistic insights will shed some light on the culture that formed Dieter's way of thinking. Then again maybe I've had too much wine. /cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello
