Juhana... I've been making music since I bought my first little synth back in1985... I've always played by ear and not by paper, or how someone else told me to do so. With some blushing I read your chords-stuff and realize I haven't got a clue what you're writing about. I listened to Planet Dada (or any other track), loaded a similar sound in my soundbanks and started playing... and found the notes by ear and stored them in my head. Now I -just- play them... but don't ask me what keys I press... :-) I have the same problem with my guitar... which even has a bigger problem... no midi-jack ;-( Rene On Friday, January 23, 2004, at 10:58 AM, Juhana Sadeharju wrote:

But D major (steps 2-2-1-2) would mean notes
I found and downloaded the chords at "http://chordfind.com/". There are chords for guitar, keyboard, and 4-string instruments. Keyboard chords are listed below. The numbers are the step counts, starting from 1. This is good as I have heard the different chords have different moods.
chords["C"]="1;5;8"; chords["C6"]="1;5;8;10"; chords["C7"]="1;5;8;11"; chords["Cmaj7"]= "1;5;8;12"; chords["C9"]="1;5;8;11;15"; chords["Cm"]="1;4;8"; [ etc. ]
Regards, Juhana
