Well Shaun...

I don't use equ's ... Just the standard bass and treble for me.

It's not that Jades voice is messing up the songs for me,
but I do hear the tiny distortions, which is a pitty.

I don't hear the funny noises (bougainville) on the regualar setup
(cd - amp - speakers), but I do hear them when played
on the MiniDisc in my chevy, and on my mac with
one lousy crummy speaker in the casing.

My amp and speakers are useally set up for music-editing
and therefor as linear as possible to get an even balanced
impression of all the used sounds. And most of the times
I listen to my cd's that way. And even then I hear the
voice of jade being on the edge sometimes.

Subject: RE: [Yello] Vocals dameged & Harmonics

Just listened to Boungainville again, there is definitely a high pitch instrument used, like a rattle of bottle tops but there is definitely (for me) a high pitched whine that accompanies the chiming (is chiming the right word?) for the last 30 seconds that they are present, it even shows on the eq display, is it possible that in the making process that some people just couldn't hear it?

As for our Jade, the volume of her vocals is definitely on an edge, I would imagine that if you have levels on the eq turned up then it would cause distortion in the sound.
