Hello all,
[ About the two areas that you mentioned, Michael, files found on [ Kazaa (or other file sharing systems) which are in average quality [ and then encoded to higher quality (OGG then), where should they [ be put?
Nowhere :-)
Should have checked for new posts before I made my reply! I've just ended up repeating Brian's words.
P.S. I've been looking into "shorten" which cuts the size of a full CD quality file in half without losing *any* quality.
Yeah, this may be an option for very rare CD tracks. For vinyl I don't feel that we need to make copies that full preserve all the background hiss! But of course, we should always remember that even CD quality is a compromise. I wonder if we'll see any Yello stuff released, or re-released on "Super Audio CD"? Michael
