Thanks for the support guys.:-) About the 12 minute version... Eh.. Well I had a 6 minuut version ,but I choose to make a shorter version. Most people have no patience to listen 6 minutes long to a remix on beatport. I still remember the first time I heard Jam & Spoon's "Follow Me", which clocks in at around fifteen minutes. If it's good, length is a non-issue.
I somehow missed in the threads any mention of you having a 12 minute version - yet each time I listen to the version you posted, I would think "boy howdy, what would this be like if it were twice as long?".
And,... It simply wasn't good enough. Maybe you get interested one day in polishing off that longer version. And selling me a copy...? :) One sale might not be enough to make it worth you while, but perhaps others would be willing too?
The Oh Yeah remix is a compleet different story. Random generated sequencers, pads ,drones It's a bit like The Orb in the old days. Then it is with great interest with which I await your post!
About the Erasure track,.. Never heard that remix before, but I love it already.. I feel that it's worth tracking down. The other three remixes on the disc aren't bad, but the TAChOM one is for me the best. If you do get frisky and go looking for it, to be clear, this is "Abba-esqe - The Remixes", not simply "Abba-esque". That's a whole 'nother story, and plain by comparison.
I've begun working on my remix, but there's not a chance in hell I'm participating in the contest - I'll keep my rights to my work, thanks. There is for me no fun like whacking around some sound. Cyclically climaxing waves of rhythm upon an undertow of lowercase ambient drone. And I'll take my time. --gcr
