I was having the same problems until I upgraded to Quicktime 7. Are you sure that's what you've got installed? If not, try:
 

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/preview/

I've had no problem viewing the files on this machine - WinXP. I haven't tried them on the home machine, Win2K.

help.  when i try to play these movie files, it says quicktime is missing some software that isn't available on the server.  i also downloaded that beta version and got the same problem.  can anybody help me please?  i've been missing all the .mov files lately.
