From Jonas Wårstad, Hello everyone, finally some good news! Yello fan Thomas Muegeli told me that the Swiss daily "punkt" paper (www.punkt.ch) published a report on Yello in their 23rd Oct issue (page 16). Here is a direct link: http://redaktion.punkt.ch/fileadmin/userdata/ePaper/2008/2008_10/punkt.ch_Z… Thomas kindly translated the important parts (slightly edited/ corrected by me): - new album with working title "Touch" will be released in February 2009 - Boris says it's going to sound like Yello but much more mature - additional musicians are Till Broenner on trumpet and swiss singer Heidy Happy - one song would have been the perfect song for the new Bond movie and the director (with Swiss roots as well) was interested, but when Yello finally submitted the song, the movie had already been finished! My comments: 1. Finally it is coming out!! 2. What a great pity the world could not hear YELLO in the new Bond film!! If anyone hears or sees any other (confirmed) news, please let me know and I will forward it to the list. Thanks! Best to all, J

Extra time for Boris

So, how Boris could spend this extra time due the shift of the release date? Making some kind of remix sample set? Writing about music tech for us who want to learn? No Yello This Year

Mark, The closest release date guess of April 25th 2007 was by Lauren's Van Graft. I also have confirmed that the actual title of the album will not be Ultra Dolores and the album will not be a double CD. This came from Yello Office. The album will not be released this year so we will have to wait and see. , Jonathan

From Jonas Warstad: I am sorry to have to inform you that Yello will NOT perform in London 18th Oct. The organizer had to cancel the event, due to the tight economic times and "challenging business climate". Also I was told by Yello Office that the new album will NOT come out this year. I assume because the record company don't want it to "drown" in the upcoming Xmas Season releases (Best Of CDs with popular artists, deluxe CD boxes etc). Well, what else can I say, more than that Yello will break their own record "longest gap between two albums" (Motion Picture 1999 to The Eye 2003 was 4 years, now it will be 6 years). /JW ================================ But remember: Yello has released plenty since The Eye. almost 100 tracks with the remaster series in 2005. I thank you for the time and effort keeping in touch with the fans of Yello. I think this band deserves more recognition and airplay than the get on the radio if ever.
