I though the idea is to get the original songs as they were. If we get now too different versions, then we want yet again the originals. DVD with CD quality audio would do fine. Three albums per DVD and plenty of extras. Perhaps even loops and samples from each album. I hope that the package will not be a limited edition and that it would be moderately priced. 40 euros/dollars would sound proper to me, a Yello fan. For 20 euros non-fans would buy it. For two DVDs 20 euros would be a good price because they sell a few years old good movies with 7-10 euros. Surround and SACD would just waste space and reduce the number of extras. Remixes

I have to agree that after Baby, the remixes seemed to lose that magic that made the originals so special. Not in every case, but in some of them. Particularly after Zebra, the numerous remix CDs got a little tedious to listen to (how many times can someone remix How How and keep a little originality in each track?). That's not to say that I think any less of Yello. I just wish that more emphasis were put on creating new material than pumping out updated versions of previously released tracks. Doing some remixes are a great idea, but not at the expense of keeping the output generally fresh and original. As for Oh Yeah Indian Summer Music Version (the 4:42 version on the B side of the 7inch vinyl single), I fell in love with it from the first time I heard it back in 1987. It's still a track I enjoy listening to. I also cherish every version of She's Got A Gun I've heard. And I really enjoy listening to Hands On Yello. So I'm not totally opposed to remixes, but I would prefer they were the exception rather than the rule. Long Live Yello!! Tom Savoy

Just took a look. It's completely different now, there's some kind of ad urging you to download eXeem, as you say. Last time I used it there was a TON of good stuff there, but very little Yello. It seemed too good to be true at the time. Sure enough, it's history. There was a suprnova.com as well, but that one needed a membership of some sort. I accidentally stumbled into it when I mis-typed the URL. Looked identical to the .org version except for the membership required. at least with the first two releases material that was remixed for new mix in one go that was done by boris i believe is an improvement you must believe, unless you are a purist but like some who did not get into the group till one second or so find new mix to be great, but i can understand why purists would not like it as i do not care for the alternate versions of songs used on essential and am sure i would not care for hands on, hardfloor or essentrix.

Hi everyone, OK, I'll be righ up fromt with it, I have a collection of rare remixes in mp3 format, and wold like to share them with other Yello fans, but I can't see any up-to-date info on how to do this, no torrents work, etc. I am keen to get as many rare tracks as possible, can anyone offer me some help etc? PS, I have bled eDonkey dry!!

I had found a torrent some months ago that seemed to meet the requirement stated by our friend, GCR. I'll have to look it up when I get home, though, as the URL for it is on my other machine. As some of you may have noticed, lokitorrent is dead at the hands of The Devi's Own, and therefore the sharing via that tracker of the rare xs [first ever version] died with it. I notice that at least a few of you were able to nab it. I am looking for another open tracker, as I was using it primarily to share my own work. There are several trackers available, but they require sign-up and login in order to be used, which is overly cumbersome and burdensome for my purposes [with regard to my own work]. However, if I fail to find a decent tracker, then I will consider using a "regulated" one... ... if the demand and interest here is high enough. Anyone? --gcr
