Yeah, i got my copy of the soundtrack today. I contacted some people in Germany and they send an info to a guy in Switzerland. He contacted me and asked if i really would have this CD, and he want to buy it for me. But he send me also an link for Amazon Germany, there was an offer in the Amazon-Z-shops. And now i ordered it. But today i saw that you can buy it directly from Amazon. Its in stock. The Eye Logo Printed

Hi All, I know many of you wouldn't mind to have a one square meter print of the The Eye logo, but I'm afraid I cannot provide in such. Making prints like this is one part of my job, and a commercial product of the company. I'm dealing with copyright issues every day, If I or the company are going to produce more posters like this and sell (or give them away) even if only to members of this list, I'll risk a law suit by Yello. Copy rights... I can't take the risk. There are many ways to by-pass legal issues like that, but I wont go into that. Well I have managed to get my hands on Yello - The Eye CD having listened to some of the snippets before hand, I can highly recommend buying this CD as the short 30 second samples heard already give nothing away at all really of how the whole tracks sound which surprised me, as there were lot's of surprises on this album . The tracks are really multilayered and Jade Davies voice really does sound like Billy Mackenzie in places whether this is intentional or purely accidental is not bad thing, it gives Yello's songs that extra edge Nervous, Junior B are my favourite tracks, Junior B takes me back to that 'Fat Cry/drive/driven' type filmic songs with pulsing bass , the cinematic choir pads, with echo guitars are also back, after missing on motion picture and pocket universe I would say this is more of a song album, than experimental journey into space like the last 2. Which is when I like Yello at their best, combining inovation with film song structure. Tiger Dust is the most fun Yello song for years, it is so funky and exciting, I don't wish to make comparisons much with past albums because what Yello do best is come up with something new everytime, if you enjoyed bubbling under you will adore Tiger Dust. "Feelin like I do I feel very very High a booola boola boola" Hipster's Delay is just begging to be in a spy movie, or French car advert , the one thing that struck me with this album was , where on earth does Boris get these sounds from, they are unlike anything you will ever hear anywhere else, completely new and surprising, stuttering and exploding, panning left to right, and back again, echoing into the distance, then bouncing back at you. Magic. Time Palace and Unreal are lush , moving songs soaked in reverb the bass on Unreal is well... Unreal! it hooks you in on a hypnotic journey This album has something for everyone, Film music, bongo's , electronic dance, rio carnival, trumpets but where's the sax? ;o) 9/10 Daniel B

King's Dance

Hi, I just noticed something that some of you might find interesting. If you have had a chance to listen to "The Eye yet you will have noticed that "Indigo Bay" is sort of a remixing of the track "Kings Dance" from the Voodoo Mounted By The Gods. But then I noticed that "King's Dance" actually sounds like a remixing of "Celsius" from Pocket Universe. I'm not kidding. They sound very similar. Yello samples in rap/hip-hop?

I read somewhere that early Yello samples were used a lot in rap/hip hop... I was wondering for some examples to check out. I am glad to see the good review of Jade Davies after all. I liked her on a sample I heard. Be sure to post a link when this is for sale ... Thanks everybody. Tasha
