It's come to my attention that there's a js/Yello virus going around
(symantec and sophos websites) since June of last year. I have not seen it,
nor have heard of it until recently. Here's some text about it from Sophos:
JS/Yello is a JavaScript that shows worm like behavior by spreading through
mIRC and pIRCH chat clients' installations.
When infected, the victim's desktop wallpaper is changed and the desktop may
toggle on and off repeatedly. Everytime the infected computer is booted up,
it attempts to dial out to a random phone number.
Thought I'd post this since "Yello" is sort of a bizarre name in itself, and
to be attached to a virus, raised my eyebrow.
