Hi, I am a long time YELLO fan and also long time listener to this news list. I fully agree with "J.R." and "HF Schreiner". This FTP server should only have Yello Music and material, which is not available in the stores. I remember the yello FTP server some years ago. At that time, I had a slow internet connection, which took me ages to download one song (has changed now ...). At that time somebody from this list with a fast connection helped me out and sent a full CD with 650MB of rare yello tracks. I still keep this CD in a safe place. I am just waiting for the FTP server to become available and than upload the songs. Regards from Germany Franz

A 'Yelled Hello' to all on the list from Alberta, Canada Those of you who know your Yello stuff will understand what I mean by a 'Yelled Hello'. Those of you who don't know may get a chance to find out if the FTP site becomes reality. There was a FTP site some years ago - I am uncertain why it shut down. There may have been copyright issues and the accompanying pressure to cease. If I were to launch an FTP site, I would want to know if it is going to be sanctioned by the 'powers to be' or at least if they were going to tolerate a music trading site (with certain limitations and/or restrictions). Where would you find these answers? I have no idea. You may want to query Lazlo Nibble or Ernie Longmire (as far as I know, the owners of the mailing list site). Another name that comes to mind is the last known operator of a Yello FTP site - Gennadiy Tsygan - who may still be reading the mailing list. I hope the site gets to be reality. Access to it must me severely restricted (and monitored on a continual basis) to only those that would not abuse. I am in agreement of sharing 'hard to get' material with fans that already own all available commercially released material, but do not agree to blatant distribution of materials that would deprive the rightful copyright owners and creators of their due rewards. Tread carefully! If the 'Big Machine' does not like what you are doing, it will grind you to little pieces - relentlessly. HF Schreiner

Hi everyone! Oh Yeah is playing in Not Another Teen Movie 30 minutess out in the movie - where the parents are leaving their son and tells him not to have any parties. A friend showed me, quite cool to hear it on such a new movie. They only play it for 30 seconds, but still... I suppose a lot of you know this, but I just wanted to tell in case someone doesn't.
