Good Afternoon Fellow WSLC Members,

May I start by mentioning how outstanding our meetings have been so far this year.  They have been informational and the questions have been very good.  Several of us have stayed behind continuing the discussions.  Thank you to the directors and co-chairs who have been determining our topics and finding our speakers.  Now on to the purpose of this email...

The next meeting is this Wednesday, February 11 at noon in the Copper Room at the Senate Office Building.  The Natural Resources, Environment, and Agriculture Legislative Study Committee has arranged speakers to discuss the transfer of federal lands to Utah.  Representative Ken Ivory will join us along with a professor from the S.J. Quinney College of Law (UofU) and the President of the Salt Lake City School Board.

I understand we will also consider resolutions related to the land transfer during the meeting on Wednesday.  Please check your emails on Monday for copies of the resolutions and any additional information the committee believes will be helpful for the discussion on Wednesday.

If you would like to follow the WSLC on Twitter you can find us @UTWSLC.  You can also tag the WSLC in your posts using #UTWSLC.  Thanks to everyone who is getting the word out about WSLC.  I receive more links on Facebook to WSLC right now than anything else I am following.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday,
Jessica Christopher
WSLC Corresponding Secretary
