Dear members,

Several of us realized yesterday that WSLC should consider Senator Todd Weiler's S.C.R.001 which would replace the statue of Philo T. Farnsworth, which has been at the United States Capitol for 30 years, with a statue of Dr. Martha Hughes Cannon, first female state senator in the nation.

We will briefly hear from speakers regarding this legislation at the beginning of our January 31st general meeting at noon.  At the end of the meeting we will have an opportunity to vote in support of the attached Resolution.  If the Resolution is accepted by our membership, it will be sent to the legislators and we will be free to lobby our representatives in support of this legislation in the name of WSLC.
