Good Afternoon Fellow WSLC Members,

We had an excellent meeting yesterday to kick off the 2015 session.  I was pleased to see we filled the room.

The next meeting is this Wednesday, January 28 at noon in the Copper Room at the Senate Office Building.  The Business and Labor Committee have arranged speakers to discuss amendments to the Minimum Wage Act and wage obligations for tipped employees.

Also to this email, I have included an Interest Form from the Nominating Committee.  Please review the form and return it to the committee by Feb. 4 to let them know if would consider running for one of the elected offices or let them know your interest some of the many appointed positions.  Returning the form to the committee does not obligate you to run, but if you let them know you are interested they can discuss the position in more detail with you.  It takes many people to make an organization like ours successful and with your assistance, we can be strong for many years to come.

You will find a description of most of the elected and appointed positions in the bylaws  - which you will find in the new handbooks that were handed out last week.  Here is a short summary of the elected positions to help you as you review the interest form.
