Good Afternoon Fellow WSLC Members,

Can you believe there are only a few more weeks left of the legislative session.  Time is flying...

The next WSLC meeting is this Wednesday, February 25 at noon in the Copper Room in the Senate Office Building.  The Judiciary/Law Enforcement & Criminal Justing/Revenue & Taxation Legislative Study Committee have invited speakers to address Medical Cannabis and E-cigarettes.  Senator Madsen, Representative Ray, and representatives from the DEA, American Cancer Society, Utah Smoke Free Association, and Salt Lake County Behavioral Health will be joining us.

Even though at the time of this email, neither of the bills we will be discussing have been numbered, it is very likely they will be numbered by Wednesday.  You can find the bill numbers, and then the language of the bills, by looking through the bills sponsored by Senator Madsen and Representative Ray.  You can search for their bills using the following web address:  http://le.utah.gov/asp/billsintro/index.asp?year=2015GS

For those members who have been in contact with the Nominating Committee and agreed to run for one of our elected positions please remember forward your short bio, photo, and contact information to Pam Grange at grangeline1@gmail.com by Feb. 25.

You will have the opportunity on Wednesday, March 11(the day of the elections) to nominate yourself or someone else directly, if you did not want to go through the Nominating Committee.  Please remember to have the permission of other person if you would like to nominate them.

As always, please follow the WSLC on Twitter you can find us @UTWSLC.  You can also tag the WSLC in your posts using #UTWSLC.  Thanks to everyone who is getting the word out about WSLC.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday,
Jessica Christopher
WSLC Corresponding Secretary
