Greetings members, We are glad many of you could join us last Wednesday as we heard from candidates for state office. We thank Kari Malkovich and Seraya Almirthalingam for their direction of this informative meeting. The minutes from the meeting are attached for your review. Our celebrations committee, Shannon Jacobs and Susan Vaughn, has prepared the attached invitation for the December 7th Holiday Luncheon. Please note these options: Vegetarian- Whole Wheat Soba Noodles Asian Style Paired with Oriental Vegetables, Miso Broth, Shitake Mushrooms and Tofu. Gluten free- Sterling New York Strip Steak Paired with Herb Butter, Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. The luncheon will be held at Little America. Reservations and payment are due by Tuesday, November 22nd. Unfortunately, due to work conflicts, our treasurer, Renee Lowrey, is resigning from office. We thank her for her service to this organization. WSLC is in need of a new treasurer. If you or someone you know would be willing to serve as treasurer, please reply to this email or contact President Shauna Scott-Bellaccomo at sscottbe(a)hotmail.com. Until a new treasurer is appointed, First Vice President Donna Murphy will be acting as treasurer and President-Elect Suzanne Mulet will be maintaining the membership list. We look forward to the October 12th meeting and hearing from candidates for the national office. Please note that we will be meeting in the Aspen Room in the Senate Building on that date. Good morning members, We look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday, September 21st in the Copper Room at the Capitol. The agenda for the meeting is attached, along with the schedule for the rest of the year. We will be hearing from most of the candidates running for state office. We encourage you to invite friends and associates who would appreciate this opportunity to hear from the candidates. We will also be honoring Kitty Kaplan. The Capitol flag that day will be flown in her honor and we will be presenting the flag to her husband Neil. We hope that many of you will be able to attend this meeting and be able to personally express to Neil your appreciation for Kitty's service to the state and this council. Greeting members, I hope you have enjoyed a safe and adventurous summer. Please mark your calendar for the upcoming Wednesday, September 21st General Meeting beginning at noon in the Copper room at the State Capitol. This meeting will allow our membership to hear from the individuals running for state office. Not all of the individuals running for office will be able to attend. State Issues Co-Chairs Kari Malkovich and Seraya Amirthalingam will provide an agenda as soon as possible, which I will distribute to you. In order to keep representation equal between the parties, we are currently searching for a Democrat to serve in this position.
