Good evening members, We thank Taylor Rosecrans and Catherine Stokes of the Judicial Committee for an informative and balanced meeting on January 27th. We are glad so many members were able to attend. The minutes from the meeting are attached. You will also find the agenda for the upcoming February 3rd meeting attached. Dear members, We enjoyed meeting with many of you to hear from Lt. Governor Cox. He described the focus of the Governor's office for this legislative session and welcomed many questions from our members. The minutes of the meeting are attached, as well as the agenda for next Wednesday, January 27, and the calendar for the 2016 general session meetings. Please note that all of the meetings will take place in the Copper Room, with the exception of February 24, when we will meet in the Olmstead Room. We hope to have you join us next Wednesday. Greetings members, I sent this email on January 8th, but some members report not having received it. If you know of any member who is not receiving emails from WSLC, please send me an email to let me know. Thank you. The original email follows. We invite you to join us for our first meeting in 2016 on Wednesday, January 20th when Governor Gary Herbert will address us. We will also have a group photo with the Governor. Please note that this meeting will be held in the Gold Room, which is on the second floor of the Capitol building. The WSLC calendar as well as the agenda for the meeting are attached. The regular legislative study meetings will begin the following Wednesday, January 27th. We remind you that if you have not already paid them, biennial dues of $40 are now due. Our treasurer Renee Lowrey will be present to accept your check or payment by credit card, or you may send her a check at 512 E. 5900 S., Murray, UT 84107. Finally, the grill closes at 1:30 pm and the cafeteria closes at 2:00 pm. This is a shorter meeting scheduled to end at 1:00, so you should have plenty of time if you wish to purchase lunch following the meeting. Also, unfortunately the bulletin editor has had to resign. We had a member willing to be the assistant editor but are looking for a member willing to serve as our bulletin editor. If you are interested, please reply to this email.
