Good Afternoon Fellow WSLC Members, Our next Women's State Legislative Council General Session will be this Wednesday, March 5 at noon in the Spruce Room. We will discuss water rights (S.B. 211) and Public Water Access (H.B. 37). You will find both bills we will be discussing on the WSLC Participatory Citizen App ( www.wslcofutah.org ). You will find a copy of the bylaws and proposed amendments on our website: www.wslcofutah.org . We will continue the discussion on Article VIII Meetings on page 53. It is amazing we are nearing the end of the document. After Article VIII we have only Articles IX Elections, X Quorum, XI Parliamentary Authority, and XII Amending of Bylaws remaining. Our Parliamentarian, Kathy Boyer, has said she will continue to make herself available before the board meeting, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in the cafeteria, to help members with amendments or clarification. Please watch for a separate email containing the membership list for WSLC. Good Morning, Attached you will find the WSLC Bulletin from our February 12, 2014 meeting. We discussed Medicaid expansion options and an increase of the age limit to purchase tobacco related products. Please remember we are meeting in a different room tomorrow. We will be in the actual Capitol building in room 130 - the Multi-Purpose Room. This room is located just inside the North entrance of the Capitol. UPDATE: Medicaid Resolution and Standing Rules

Good Morning, I'm sorry for the short notice on both of these documents. The Health and Human Services Legislative Study Committee has prepared a resolution supporting Governor Herbert's Healthy Utah Plan. This plan relates to the expansion of Medicaid. I have also attached a flyer with information regarding the Healthy Utah plan. This resolution will be discussed during today's meeting. I am also attaching the proposed amendments to the General Membership Standing rules for your review. They will be discussed during next week's meeting on Wednesday, March 19. Most of the changes to the standing rules are meant to bring them in line with the recent changes we have made to the bylaws. Good Afternoon Fellow WSLC Members, Our next Women's State Legislative Council General Session will be this Wednesday, March 12 at noon in the Spruce Room. We will discuss H.B. 105 and the legislation surrounding marijuana and medicine. You will find H.B. 105 on the WSLC Participatory Citizen App ( www.wslcofutah.org ). In addition to the agenda and minutes attached to this email, you will find another attachment from the Natural Resources Committee with updates on the sage grouse, air quality, and electric car charging stations. You will find a copy of the bylaws and proposed amendments on our website: www.wslcofutah.org . We will continue the discussion on a motion to reconsider Wednesday's vote on Article IX Elections. Following this discussion we will continue with the last few articles: Article X Quorum, XI Parliamentary Authority, and XII Amending of Bylaws. Our Parliamentarian, Kathy Boyer, has said she will again make herself available before the board meeting, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in the cafeteria, to help members with amendments or clarification.
