Please be cautious when walking on the switchback trails, obey signs, and report signs of snow activity to the WH City Offices (801-423-3900) during city office hours or the Sheriff Non-Emergency Number (801-794-3970) after hours. (Read more ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) .) ** WH Needs Fire Hydrant Help ------------------------------------------------------------ Clear your fire hydrants! As per WH Ordinance 5-4-2 ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) , residents have to keep the fire hydrants located on their property clear of debris and snow. Why do I need to keep my fire hydrants clear during the winter? So firefighters can respond quickly to you or your neighbor's structural fires (houses still burn in the winter). Looking for a family / youth group service project? Please pick a fire hydrant and clear an area 3' around the hydrant (with snow being removed to a depth of 8" or less). Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe! ** City Council passed a resolution supporting the Creation of a Safe, Family-Friendly paved trail system ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) throughout Utah ------------------------------------------------------------ Woodland Hills City Council supports investing in constructing high priority, regionally important "active transportation" (i.e., biking and walking) projects throughout the state, with the goal of completing a core backbone of safe and family-friendly active transportation facilities serving communities across Utah. ** WH Ordinance Highlight: Snow in Roads ------------------------------------------------------------ Narrow Roads: Snowplow crews are working hard to keep our roads clear. As time permits, they will also go back to widen roads. Please be patient and courteous as some roads may be narrower than others. We just received our second shipment of salt! Help us not spend more money on city salt by NOT pushing snow from your driveway onto the street. Ordinance 6-1-5 ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) states that you cannot push snow into the road. It also makes the roads slick and potentially dangerous. Please place garbage containers off of roadway: It is unlawful for garbage containers to be placed upon a city street at any time which may interfere with snow removal. ** Salem Hills High School Happenings ------------------------------------------------------------ SHHS Broadway Best 2023 Concert, "Children Will Listen", Feb. 8-9, 7:30pm in the SHHS Auditorium.
