Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit" - Will Durant I am running for City Council because I believe that my unique skills can make a positive impact on our beloved city. Throughout my extensive career in manufacturing, I have honed valuable skills that our city leadership could benefit from: specifically, my extensive experience in change management and forward long-term consequence recognition. On a personal note, I am married with two adult children and two who are closer to being adults than I want to admit. My family and I relocated here in August 2016, and my journey of community engagement began in early 2018 when I joined the fire department. I truly gained a deep love for this community during the fires later that year. I have continued to serve this community in various ways since. In addition to my civic involvement, I take great pride in my past service in the US Navy, as well as my role as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. I would be truly honored to extend my service as a councilperson, working tirelessly to make our city an even better place for all. In 2014, when we found our lot, we knew Woodland Hills would be our forever home. Ever since then we have learned to love our amazing community even more. We count it a great blessing to live in such a beautiful location with the best neighbors anyone could ever wish for. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work closely with many Fortune 100 and 500 businesses across our nation in many different professional capacities. Primarily my work has focused on cultural transformation, operational excellence, and business systems. While doing this I've also owned and operated a number of my own businesses as well. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve our great city and I welcome any thoughts, disagreements or constructive ideas from our residents. Thank you all for your support and willingness to volunteer to make our wonderful city even better.
