Natural and human-triggered avalanches are very likely. <br>The city strongly advises residents to avoid all avalanche terrain. This includes hiking on the switchback trails. Large wind-loaded cornices on every ridge line above the trail have been detected. If these cornices break, the risk of an avalanche is high.
