Better understand our 2023 budget via pdf, infographic, movie, or written explanation. And read more for more info about a WH resident who is ON TV tomorrow too! ** WH - Truth in Taxation ------------------------------------------------------------ TONIGHT (NB, it was on Tuesday, August 9) WH City Council is holding a Truth in Taxation Meeting. Interested in understanding the 2023 budget or learning more about the teenie tiny tax increase that our city needs to continue functioning? Come join us in person or online starting at 6pm Zoom ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) ID: 418 658 6561 Passcode: WH2022 Busy tonight? Or are you just an overachiever who wants to know all the things before tonight's meeting? Read WH's very own resident, Glenn Anderson's August Transparency Report which features a 2023 budget breakdown ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) . Rather watch a movie than read a PDF? We feel you. Watch Glenn's 10-minute video ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) ! Still interested in more numbers? You nerd. Jody Stones, WH City Recorder (and human-glue which keeps the city running smoothly - we love you, Jody!), wrote a Truth in Taxation Explanation too! Check it out here: Link to photo ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) (better for cell phones), link to Word Doc ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) (better on computers). ** County Sheriff's Update ------------------------------------------------------------ Reminder: Please don't park on the sides of the roads. It is illegal to leave your car, truck boat, ATV, trailer or motor home on the side of the road overnight (and super dangerous if the fire truck or ambulance needed to get to your home or your neighbor's home). The sheriff's office will be giving tickets for those found to be in violation of this ordinance. ** Tall Brown Grass is (Still) Bad ------------------------------------------------------------ It's important for residents to trim grass (and weeds) starting at the road to 30ft inside your property. Please trim to a height not greater than six inches (Read unabridged WH ordinance ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) ). Why? If someone pulls over (or if chains are dragging or anything else sparks) fire would spread rapidly to all our homes. Questions? Call the Fire Chief, Craig Northup, 801-891-5387. ** WH City Reminder: Please Don't Pass School Buses! ------------------------------------------------------------ As our kiddos head back to school next week, help to keep them safe by NEVER passing a school bus. Thank you for your patience and neighborly love in protecting our kids! ** WH Resident competes for #1 on TV Show 'So You Think You Can Dance' TOMORROW! ------------------------------------------------------------ Congratulations Alexa Warr Burton, daughter of Doug and Wendy Warr, for making Top 2. We hope you go all the way! Watch her FINALE dance on Fox13 this Wednesday night or play it anytime starting Thursday on Hulu. And check out her amazing dancing on YouTube ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) . ** WH - Resident Sells Fresh WH-Grown Produce! ------------------------------------------------------------ It's harvest season again! And please also include how much money you spent too - on things like equipment, gas, and labor! ** Save the Date: Sept 9th & 10th - WH Days! ------------------------------------------------------------ Back by popular demand we will be having J-Dawgs for dinner along with the same band we had last year! We will also have the car show and movie in the park courtesy of the WH Fire Dept. On Sat, we start with a morning hike, then breakfast in the park by the Fire Dept, then there will be games and booths for families. Watch for more details to follow as we get closer!
