He would like to get to know our residents and will be hosting a town hall meeting at the WH City Center on Fri Jan 28th from 5pm - 7pm. ** Audubon Bird Count Takes Flight ------------------------------------------------------------ This year, local birders joined volunteers throughout North America as observers in the Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count ( https://woodlandhills-ut.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2ffdbabb491f2799... ) , the nation's longest-running community science project (started in 1900!). The data collected over the past century allow Audubon researchers, conservation biologists, wildlife agencies and other interested individuals to study the long-term health and status of bird populations across North America. On Jan 1 volunteers counted 24 distinct species of birds, including woodpeckers, jays, and chickadees. Surprisingly one familiar WH resident, the wild turkey, was never spotted. Maybe next year! ** WH Recycling Update - Please NO Plastic Bags ------------------------------------------------------------ You can recycle greasy pizza boxes and recycle plastics #1, #2, #8+.
