Entropy Evolution and even Optics
Re: ">Wow! I find it interesting that the astronomy list has turned into an >evolution debate." Evolution has a problem called Entropy, the Second Law of Thermodynamics: Everything on its own tends to a lower state of organization. Does your car fix itself? What happens to us when Entropy takes over our body? Cancer If you chose to ignore Entropy then I can show how Automobiles evolved from iron ore. Over billions of years iron ore turned itself into steel. The Conestoga wagons put iron rims on their wheels in 1800. Those wagons by Natural Selection survived and they made baby wagons with metal rims. We can prove the evolution of the automobile because each step along the way is displayed in the "fossil" museum record. Of course if you choose to ignore the Law of Gravity then Reindeer can fly! I definitely agree that students should learn all about Evolution. But they need to learn its flaws too. It is funny that scientists have no problem with 2 theories on Light: Wave Theory and Photon Theory. Life is vastly more complex than light.
