I live in Orem I will be gone for two weeks back to Navoo, Il to rededicate my great grandfather's grave. And I do not have a telescope yet. And I am not finished building my Dome on my house yet. Hello, The good news here is you have dark skys, no "light pollution" If you can find a place away from the village lights, might get some takers. A few "random ideas": BYU has an Astronomy student group thru the Dept of Physics and Astronomy. They can do Star Parties. Have scopes. Also might try Education Dept. BYU has observatory on mountain south of Ut Lake. Also a planetarium on campus. You might try Boy Scouts for an Astronomy Merit badge person. If you go to Google Earth - up in the tool bar is a Saturn looking Icon. Click on this - its like Google Earth for the sky. Made from a gazillion Hubble Telescope & Spitzer images etc . If you find the double star in the Big Dipper, zoom in till you find a galaxy. Zoom again the theres another galaxy Salt Lake has a big astronomy group and major telescopes in Stansbury Park Star Party Services - *Salt Lake Astronomical Society*<http://www.slas.us/starpartyservices.htm> 1. www.slas.us/starpartyservices.htm<http://www.bing.com/search?q=salt%20lake%20astronomical%20society&pc=conduit&ptag=G636-AC525DC0950B4462E96F&form=CONBNT&conlogo=CT3210127&ShowAppsUI=1#> The *Salt Lake Astronomical Society* hosts over 30 free public star and Sun parties each year at locations in the *Salt* *Lake* Valley, it's observatory in Stansbury Park ... 2.
