The snow is melting fast in western Utah. The Rush Valley site should be free of snow after this weekend, but it will be muddy for a few more days still. Probably by next week end (12th ,13th) the ground conditions will be good enough for a little party at the Pit n Pole. The moon will be waning, entering the last quarter, and wont rise until about 0:25
I am going to mark my calendar and check the whether as that weekend approaches.
Mike Bailey built a new 15" Truss Tube Dobson this past winter and I don't believe he has had a chance to get first light with it yet.

Could you give me directions to the Pit n' Pole? I would like to come out observing that night and maybe invite a few friends to come along.
